wife for 37 years. three quarters of the officers in the baltimore city school police force have no confidence in their chief. >> that may seem like inside baseball. members of the union say it's anything but. this affects you if you have a student in city school. >> votes of no confidence in a leaderrer are labor dispute mostly, this one isn't. some say makes it as unique as it is concerning. the vote was taken last month by the members of the baltimore school police union. 84 officers of 110 have no confidence in the school police chief, marshal goodwin. >> it's not something to take lightly. they are generally -- it means in the police world that there is nothing left to lose. >> reporter: gary is the labor

negotiator for the police union. he citizen votes of no confidence are last resort involve a beef about pay or ben fis. this is not the case here. this union got a new contract last year and a good one. >> it's about working conditions and communication with management. that's something that should concern the public. >> reporter: both sides have not pub luckily spoken about specifics, sources say, officers feel the leadership style is questionable, the force feel as lack of control to handle criminal situations inside the schools and crime is not being reported accurately. we tried to take the concerns to north after but it had no comment on the vote or issues officers have spoken about off the record. progress is made, though. dialogue 2010 the officers union and the school administration is progressing. a meeting between the two sides

is scheduled for later this month. again, baltimore city schools didn't comment on this story today. that meeting between the two sides is scheduled for november 20th. brian kuebler, abc2 news. all new at 5:00, a man faces child pornography charges after a under cover sting. >> the autistic man was downloading movies while living unher parents roof. troopers with the mailed state police computer crimes unit are surfing for child pornographers everyday, the undercover investigator downloaded porn movies depicting under age boys before tracking the computer and user to a home on isaacs way in forest hill. 25-year-old nicholas tried to blame a former friend for downloading the porn on his computer. investigators found 500 movies and some downloaded a week before the house was raided. the suspect didn't videotape any children himself, police

reducing the deficit, we have to combine spending cuts with revenue. that means asking the wealthiest americans to pay more in taxes. >> reporter: the president pushed congress to keep the tax cuts for americans earning less than 250,000 dollars. >> that fortunately we shouldn't need long negotiations or drama to solve that part of the problem. let's extend the middle class tax cuts now. let's do that right now. >> reporter: the so called fiscal cliff looming at the end of the year could have serious ramifications, $650 billion in cuts and tax increases in to effect january 1st, if there is no deal, affecting every american taxpayer. john boehner says congress needs to fix the debt problem through tax reform and entitlement reform. >> everythingto be looked at. >> reporter: boehner put the pressure on president obama to

take charge on where the negotiations go. >> this is an opportunity for the president to leave to. engage the congress and works towards a solution that can pass both chambers. >> reporter: president obama invited leaders from both parties to the white house to start working to reach consensus on the very urgent issues. karen traverse, abc2 news, washington. it's been two days since a of 0-inch water main break broke in baltimore, flooding north charles street. crews trying to get to the main. a huge amount of water including gas lines needed to be shut down and slowed down the process of getting to the broken main. >> our plan is to try to get this done as quickly as possible and knowing full well this is a major throughway for the loader and convenience for the rest of us here. we are going to be working around the clock, 24/7 until we get this done. the next few days, the weather

in health alert, talking about thyroid cancer, brook burke revealed her diagnosis this week, and now she is

going to have to have surgery to have her thyroid removed. in 2011 this were 48,000 new cases diagnosed. 36,000 were in women. we posted the story of brook burke on facebook for the station. while you sent well wishes, you told us your stories about surges and life afterwards for thyroid surgery. joining us is dr. paul. thank you for joining us. we got questions for you about. this a cancer diagnosis, tough to hear k tell us about thyroid in terms of treatment. is it easily treatable. >> 95% of thyroid cancer ends with great results. this is a cancer that is treatable. usually surgery, with radioactive iodine, a pill that you swallow is the usual treatment. some patients need further treatments after that. >> talk about detection. breast cancer, there is a mammogram and we know the other

tests. what about thyroid cancer to find it? >> people will palpate a no jill nodule. that's on most of the patients. we look at the nodule and biopsy it. >> how do people notice symptoms, are there warning signs? >> looking in the mirror you can see if there is a lump in your neck. most of the time you can't feel. if it gets big and aggressive, it can affect the voice, swallowing and breathing but that's rare. >> dr. paul with us from med star union memorial, thank you for the information. between our jobs and paying the bills it makes sense for grown ups to feel stress, the little ones in family are feeling the strain, experts say they are finding new ways to help kids

be pulled back, a mistake by the company that runs the site, can't be undone. twitters say it mistakenly reset passwords for users, the oopsey happened during a secure check, users thought the social network had been hacked but the company cleared up on the confusion on the website saying only a small panel of its 140 million users were impacted. if you own a jeep, this could effect you, chrysler recalling more than 900,000 older jeep model suvs because air bags can inflate while you are driving. the recall affects grand jeep grand keys from 2002-2004. the u.s. national highway safety administration found air bags in the cars caused 81 injuries. tonight at 11:00, are you looking to save 15% on car insurance? some people are letting an
